AirJax Rebuild

AirJax offers rebuild services to our units. While each instance is unique, we typically charge $125 for labor and then whatever parts are needed. Please let us know (paul@airjax.com) that you'll be sending unit(s) in for freshening. Once we inspect/test and potentially disassemble, we'll reach out to you with more accurate pricing.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT A REBUILD - THESE UNITS REQURE SPECIAL TOOLS PLUS A SPECIAL PROCEDURE TO DISSASEMBLE WITHOUT INCURING DAMAGE. 

Pro teams typically send them in every 1-2 years, and club folks every 3-4 years. 

TWO biggest issue we see on rebuilds is:

1) the lower seals and bore can be damaged by operating the AirJax on dirt or some type of loose ground. When the AirJax is retracted, a small vacuum is formed at the base as the leg retracts. Any dirt or debris getting sucked in will begin to shorten the life of the unit. If you paddock in this type of environment, try and put down some plywood or something to reduce the chance of debris getting pulled into your AirJax. 

2) Moisture and dirt in the system. Enough moisture begins to displace the lubricant for the internals and dirt with damage the piston ring and potentially score the bore. 

When the vehicle is not on the track, cover the port if you can. We've come up with an AirJax Port Cover, complete with don't-forget-me flag that can help keep your system dry and debris-free when in transit, sitting at the shop, and most critically, when it is being washed.
