About Us

AirJax is led by enthusiasts you're likely to find in a motorsports paddock on any given weekend. Leighton Reese, the original founder/creator of AirJax followed an engineer's mantra: Keep it simple, keep it reliable!. Leighton had significant success in Pro Racing spanning several decades and continuously evolved the AirJax product, making it lighter and more efficient. Leighton also had a strong "made in the USA" belief that we carry on to this day.

Leighton provided excellent guidance and growth for the first 23 years and then passed the company onto more racers as he stepped back from the day-to-day activities. Paul has been tinkering and racing in various series' for decades. With a 40-win streak and a few national championships, he fully understands the needs and requirements of our products. Paul can also be found coaching various racers as well as the TAMU FSAE team, helping the new batch of race engineers develop their cars. His Texas shop is not only the AirJax HQ, but also sees composite layups and has a shock dyno (nerd!). Neil is our factory engineer, having graduated TAMU Engineering and then immediately spending time clicking off successes at Jim Hall, Swift (he was part of Andretti's debut win in the Swift 007.i) and others, then finishing his active career with HPD (with wins at Indy, etc). Neil stresses "simplify and add lightness" and his effect on the evolution of AirJax offerings can't be overstated.

Neil also wrote the book "Think Fast, the Racer's Why-To-Guide to Winning". If you're a racer, you need this book. Paul actually worked with Neil on editing and layout of the book. Find it on this Amazon link.
